The state Islamic religious department will help tahfiz schools facing difficulties in getting approval.
Johor state exco Fared Khalid said 37 private religious schools were in the process of obtaining full registration.
PETALING JAYA: The Johor Islamic religious department has identified 266 private religious schools in the state that have not been registered or approved, the Johor assembly was told today. State Islamic religious affairs committee chairman Fared Khalid said these schools comprised 31 tahfiz schools, 12 pondok schools, 10 Islamic primary schools and 213 preschools, Bernama reported.“Tahfiz schools that wish to be registered in Johor need to go through a number of approval processes under the Control of Islamic Religious School Enactment,” he said in response to a question from Gan Peck Cheng .
