There were 647 cases reported in Selangor, followed by 333 in Sabah and 326 in Kuala Lumpur.
Cases of child neglect or abuse can be reported to Talian Kasih at 15999 or WhatsApp at 019 2615999, or any district social welfare office or police station.
In a statement, the women, family and community development ministry said the highest number of cases were reported in Selangor with 647 cases, followed by Sabah and Kuala Lumpur .
