Anis Rizana appointed as first woman Customs DG

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin (pic) made history by becoming the first woman director-­general of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Anis Rizana Mohd Zainudin @ Mohd Zainuddin made history by becoming the first woman director-general of the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

He said Anis Rizana, 54, formerly the Finance Ministry’s deputy secretary-general of treasury , has extensive experience in various fields, including investment, import-export, research and policy development, economics, management and finance.“This appointment is the first for a female civil servant to assume the position of director-general of the Customs Department.

Anis Rizana has been in the Malaysian civil service for 29 years, beginning in 1994 as the Finance Ministry’s assistant secretary of the finance division.
