Struggling home-goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond Inc.
on Wednesday called for a shareholder vote on a potential reverse stock split at a special meeting set for May 9. In a filing, the company said the vote would be on whether to allow an amendment to execute, at the board’s discretion, a stock split “at a ratio in the range of 1-for-10 to 1-for-20, with such ratio to be determined at the discretion of the Board.” Shares were up 1.9% after hours.
