The radio presenter joined a host of famous faces in Dublin on Tuesday night for the Irish premiere of Cillian Murphy's brand new movie Small Things Like These
Claire Byrne was all smiles as she stepped out on the red carpet with husband Gerry Scollan last night.
The movie, based on the best-selling novel by Claire Keegan, tells the story of coal merchant Bill Furlong, who discovers disturbing secrets kept the local convent, forcing him to confront the complicit silence of a small Irish town controlled by the Catholic Church. Claire leads a busy work life as host of Today with Claire Byrne, which airs weekdays on RTE Radio 1, but away from her busy career she says she is "just Mammy". "My children are a bit more curious about what I do now... sometimes they ask me if I am famous and I just say 'No! No one is famous, it is a small country'," Claire told the RTE Guide last year."But a lot of my focus is around what the children are doing and making sure we have enough food in the house. They are eating all the time. It is constant."
