PETALING JAYA: Police have recorded the statements of local rapper Caprice and Indonesian social media influencer Mondy in connection with a video that allegedly slandered celebrity preacher Ebit Lew.
Subang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Fairus Jaafar said the statements of both individuals were recorded at the Selangor police headquarters on Tuesday .
It was reported that an Indonesian social media influencer and a local rapper will be called in to assist police over the video that allegedly slandered Ebit Lew. "We have classified the case under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act for defamation and misuse of networking facilities," she said.
