Kota Kinabalu: Batch six of the Discover MuayThai Academy (DMT Academy) programme aimed to promote positive impact of Muay Thai martial arts among 16 underprivileged youth here was a huge success since it launched in June.
The participants with the full sponsorship of Ekuiti Nasional Berhad and its corporate social responsibility arm , ILTIZAM, the DMT Academy embarked on an intensive four-month programme combining intensive daily Muay Thai sessions and a variety of enriching modules such as English communication, counselling, entrepreneurship, financial management, industrial training and many more.
Ekuinas director, stakeholders’ interest, Hizwani Hassan said they decided to hold the programme here following its success in transforming the lives of many youths in the peninsular since it was first introduced in 2015.
