: Malaysia’s natural rubber production decreased by 4.5 percent to 28,533 tonnes in July 2023 from 29,867 tonnes in June 2023, said the Department of Statistics Malaysia .
He said NR’s total stocks in July 2023 reduced by 9.9 percent to 143,840 tonnes compared to 159,718 tonnes in June 2023. Meanwhile, NR exports amounted to 51,785 tonnes in July 2023, an increase of 6.0 percent, as against 48,848 tonnes in June 2023, contributed by NR-based products such as gloves, tyres, tubes, rubber threads and condoms.
The department also said that an analysis of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded a 1.5 percent month-on-month decline to 490.18 sen per kilogramme in July from 497.70 sen per kg in June.“Prices for all Standard Malaysian Rubber shrank between 1.5 percent and 2.3 percent,” DoSM said.
