KOTA BELUD: Siapa sangka, seorang pesawah kampung dengan pendapatan kecil mengusahakan sawah padi seluas ‘sekangkang kera’ sebelum ini, kini mampu menjadi seorang petani berjaya dengan pendapatan lima angka sebulan.
Malah Faridah Sikin, 44, yang merupakan seorang Sahabat Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia Cawangan Sabah ini juga seorang petani moden yang mengamalkan teknologi penanaman padi sawah.Beliau kini memiliki tiga jentera pembajak dan sebuah jentera menuai padi termasuk sebuah dron berharga RM30,000 yang digunakan untuk pembajaan dan menyembur racun di sawah padi.
