NEW YORK, Sept 19 — Malaysia’s strong bilateral and economic ties with the United Arab Emirates continue to grow, with trade and investment on the rise.
According to him, from January to April 2023, total trade between the two countries rose by 5.7 per cent, from RM11.25 billion to RM11.89 billion. On Monday, Zambry met his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly taking place here.
As for the Conference of the Parties to the Convention , the UAE requested Malaysia’s support regarding the preservation of the mangrove forests under the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals agenda, he said.
