PETALING JAYA: The government has agreed in principle to the drafting of a Freedom of Information Act, says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister, in a Facebook post Thursday , said that this was agreed at the Special Committee Meeting of the National Administrative Cabinet , formerly known as the Cabinet Special Committee Meeting on Anti-Corruption.
"We decided in principle to draft the Freedom of Information Act by creating parameters as well as clear guidelines to give access to the public to obtain information from public bodies and the Government," Anwar said in his post.
