Local government development minister Nga Kor Ming says RM1 million set aside for Ipoh city council alone.
Nga Kor Ming said part of the allocation will be used to install more street lights in Ipoh, in order to increase outdoor lighting and make the city safer.
Minister Nga Kor Ming said of the total, RM1 million was allocated to the Ipoh City Council for the installation of street lights, especially in residential areas which are expected to be completed this year. “RM10,000 would be donated to the Ipoh police headquarters to replace various office equipment, including damaged air conditioners,” he told reporters after launching Panggong Silver Star and Kampung Simee Lantern Festival 2023 here last night.
