Kuala Lumpur: The director of a government department is among four people arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday to assist in an investigation into alleged bribery involving two water supply projects worth RM44.4 million.
The other three arrested comprise a civil servant, a company owner and the manager of an investment trust, Berita Harian reported. They were detained at about 7.30pm after giving their statements at the Sarawak MACC office.They are suspected of involvement in giving and receiving bribes worth millions of ringgit, including in the form of vehicles and houses.
