The economy minister also says an omnibus bill will be tabled next year to allow ministries and agencies to share data.
Economy minister Rafizi Ramli said Padu’s development is 60% complete and will be ready for trial in November.
At a press conference today, Rafizi said the government will test Padu in November before allowing it to be used by the public in January to verify personal information. “If everything goes well, then Padu will be ready to hold the entire data of Malaysians in January 2024,” he said.
