PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional has scored a huge win in the Pelangai by-election, defeating its main rival Perikatan Nasional with a 2,949-vote majority.
PETALING JAYA: Barisan Nasional's win in Pelangai is a sign that the green wave is not advancing in Pahang, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
"I would like to thank all Pelangai voters and my congratulations to Barisan candidate Datuk Amizar Abu Adam for winning the seat," said Ahmad Zahid in a statement on Saturday . "I would like to thank the entire Barisan machinery as well as my friends in the unity government, the machinery – especially the grassroots – from the state who helped a lot," he said.
Barisan candidate Amizar scored a huge win in the Pelangai by-election, defeating its main rival Perikatan Nasional with a 2,949-vote majority.
