PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has launched a survey to gather public feedback on the Generational End Game (GEG) bill, which had been scheduled for a second reading at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

The survey, open to all Malaysians, is available on the MySejahtera app starting today. Users would, however, need to update their app.“The survey covers a range of topics, including the public’s views on the health risks of smoking, the GEG provision, and the Control of Tobacco Products for Public Health Bill 2023,” said health minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa in a statement.

The GEG bill, officially known as the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023, seeks to ban the use, purchase and sale of cigarettes and vape products to those born after 2007.
