LABUAN: School holidays no longer are occasions businesses here look forward to due to the contraction of the local population caused by the exodus to Sabah and peninsula.
Gone are the days when they were eagerly awaited by retailers due to arrival of spending visitors from Brunei Darussalam and mainland Sabah.“The situation has changed the last few years as visitor arrivals had significantly dwindled. Many holidaymakers prefer Kota Kinabalu and Sarawak,” said Indian Chamber of Commerce Industry Chairman Datuk Dahlif Singh.
