KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — Renowned for its fusion of traditional Chinese aesthetics, Shanghai Tang has made its welcomed return to Malaysia.
After building a presence in multiple countries across Asia, Shanghai Tang recently premiered its new boutique concept in the heart of KL, at Lalaport Bukit Bintang City Centre. Spanning across 1,256 square feet, the design of the KL boutique is inspired by the quaint lanes of Shanghai. Within the space, visitors are greeted with soft fabrics, intricate porcelain and sleek lacquerware showcasing the richness of Eastern culture.with chinoiserie designed teaware, jewellery boxes, ginger flower diffusers and candles. It draws attention to the innate allure of China with portrayals of natural elements such as rocks, trees, flowers and cranes.
The freedom of dance is the heart of the collection and through traditional dyeing techniques, there are floral prints in moonlight yellow and midnight blue on mulberry silk.collection, Shanghai Tang captures the essence of joy in family gatherings, threading a central motif throughout its design.
