This time, Anwar has a reminder to the employers in the private sector. He wants to see them following the government's lead when it comes to handling wages

PM Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim tabled the Budget 2024 in Parliament last Friday , but the talks involving money and budget are still ongoing, especially at times when many Malaysians are still struggling to make ends meet.

This time, Anwar has a reminder to the employers in the private sector. He wants to see them following the government’s lead when it comes to handling wages of employees – consider increasing the employees’ wages to match productivity and performance.In his Facebook post yesterday , Anwar said he is highly encouraging a fair distribution of profits through increased salaries for employees.

He hopes the government’s efforts in recognising civil servants are also taken up by the private sector, especially those who report good profits.As for the review of civil servants’ salaries, Anwar said that he is expecting it to be ready by the middle of next year so that important details can be made during the tabling of Budget 2025 next year.
