- ROME, OCT 25 - Inspectors have been instructed to carry out special check-ups of visa operations at some Italian embassies abroad as part of a review of procedures to prevent fraud and illegal entry into Italy, Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said during a parliamentary question time on Wednesday.
"In recent days, a similar mission inspected the embassies in Kinshasa and Brazzaville ," he continued. "It is crucial to strengthen the capacity of our offices to intercept fraudulent visa applications and prevent corruption," he stressed.
