JERUSALEM/GAZA/SDEROT (Reuters): Israeli forces clashed with Hamas on Sunday (Oct 8), 24 hours after a surprise attack in which nearly 500 people were killed in the deadliest day of violence for 50 years.
GAZA: The Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate has called upon the International Red Cross and international organisations to intervene and help ascertain the fate of two Palestinian journalists, Nidal Al-Wahidi and Haitham Abdelwahid, who have gone missing while covering the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Contact with the two journalists has been lost, leading to grave concerns for their safety and well-being, it added. WAFA reeported that more Palestinian civilians were killed and injured in two Israeli airstrikes that targeted two residential home in the cities of Rafah and Gaza on Saturday. "This attack resulted in the tragic murder and injury of ten Palestinian civilians, including children and women. The wounded were rushed to the Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital in the city,” it reported.
