Kedutaan Afghanistan di India gantung operasi
NEW DELHI: Kedutaan Afghanistan di India menggantung operasi lebih dua tahun selepas Taliban kembali berkuasa di Kabul berikutan kejatuhan kerajaan yang disokong Barat.
Keadaan itu menyebabkan banyak kedutaan dan konsulat Afghanistan berada dalam keterbatasan, dengan diplomat yang dilantik oleh bekas kerajaan enggan menyerahkan kawalan ke atas bangunan dan harta kedutaan kepada wakil yang dipilih oleh pihak berkuasa Taliban. “India akan mengawal kedutaan dalam kapasiti penjaga,” kata kenyataan kedutaan itu yang disiarkan di platform media sosial X.
Penutupan itu berikutan laporan bahawa duta dan diplomat kanan Afghanistan lain sudah meninggalkan India sejak beberapa bulan lalu dengan pertelingkahan berlaku antara mereka yang masih tinggal di New Delhi.
