KUNAK: Rice shortages and rising prices here require the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry’s (KPDN) serious attention to ensure enforcement is conducted regularly and promptly.
Consumers Front of Sabah Association President Nordin Thani said it received numerous complaints from Kunak locals regarding difficulty in obtaining supplies as well as local white rice here. “Consumers also encounter increased prices where the original price labels are covered up with stickers. “It is feared that some traders have also repackaged ,” Nordin, who is also National Consumer Forum of Malaysia Council member, told Daily Express, Tuesday.
