Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysia International Humanitarian Organisation (MHO) urged the State Government to create a special tribunal in light of the number of pending land issues faced by Sabahans, especially in rural areas.
MHO Sabah Chapter coordinator, Captain Jerry Jaimeh, said most of the afflicted do not have the financial standing, full understanding nor the leisure to be subjected to an endless bureaucratic back and forth. Daily Express Malaysia
“Let the tribunal comprise related agencies…It’s a pity, for instance, for a family in Kg Korolok, Tenom to take four hours to reach the district’s town. When it rains, the gravel roads mean they cannot even move. “Then they have to reschedule an appointment which takes even more time. When they finally get to the district Land and Survey Department , they are then told to bring the matter to the headquarters in the city.
