Kota Kinabalu: A dedicated Sabahan nurse has become the state's fifth organ donor this year, saving three people's lives, said Health Director Dr. Asits Sanna.
Sulimah Gilong, 59, who had died after suffering from brain death, donated a pair of kidneys, a liver and a pair of corneas, among other things. The donated corneas helped give vision to two people, said Asits in a statement. Asits hoped Sulimah' kindness inspires the public so that they too become organ donors.
