KUALA LUMPUR: A lorry driver sustained several stab wounds to his back during a murder attempt in Pandan Perdana on Tuesday (Sept 26).
In a statement on Thursday , Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said the 43-year-old victim was attacked at his old house in Pandan Perdana when he went there to collect the mail.ACP Mohd Azam said this led to the arrest of a 28-year-old garbage collector in Taman Setapak Jaya in the early hours of Wednesday and checks on the suspect showed that he had 10 prior offences on his criminal record.
He added that a urine test came back positive for drugs, including methamphetamine, and police also seized a machete believed to have been used in the attack."The suspect claimed that the victim and his friends had beaten him previously.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
