KUALA LUMPUR: Commuters using the Kelana Jaya LRT line are in for a colourful treat in conjunction with Malaysia Day.
According to Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil, the exterior of the carriages will depict illustrations of Malaysian life.
“The Cerita Malaysiaku initiative is to show our appreciation to the country as well as to share facts and information about Malaysia so that it will stay in our minds. Among others, the special coach will carry stories about Malaysian traditional food, proverbs, games and celebrations. At the same time, it is also coloured with facts about the Rukun Negara, the Malaysian Anthem and the country’s most famous flowers – the hibiscus and rafflesia.
The programme is an initiative by Rapid Rail, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia, which is Klang Valley’s main rail operator.
