DC Handal could be a new challenger to Tesla's Supercharger. They have at least 3 charging hubs equipped with Kempower DC fast chargers and a couple more located in Penang and Johor.
What’s even more interesting is that the EV charging location is equipped with a credit card terminal similar to what has been deployed at highway toll plazas for. This means you probably won’t need to download an app to use the charger and you can simply tap in and tap out to activate or stop charging. Contactless card payments offer greater convenience but we are curious to know if there will be a holding amount similar to petrol pumps.
Besides Bamboo Hills, the same operator has also deployed three Kempower satellite DC charging terminals at, near KLCC as well as four Kempower satellite units at UOA Business Park at Subang. Once all three sites are turned on, DC Handal will be the largest operator of Kempower DC charging hubs in the country. Besides DC Handal and Gentari, ChargEV has also deployed Kempower’s DC fast charging solution with dynamic sharing at Berjaya Times Square.
