KUALA LUMPUR: The organisers of Save Malaysia call for a police probe into the discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) of Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's graft case.
Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz said they have looked at the chronology of the case since he was charged up to the DNAA, and many issues need to be clarified and in doubt.
"This is why we have lodged a police report," he told reporters when met outside the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Saturday . He said the police needed to look into the case from the beginning and investigate Ahmad Zahid and all those involved, including the deputy public prosecutor, who was forfeited.
"We also feel that the reduction in subsidies has affected the people, and we want to fight for this cause," he said. Meanwhile, lawyer and Pejuang information chief Muhammad Rafique Rashid Ali said it was puzzling how Ahmad Zahid received the DNAA."Then suddenly, the same prosecution team of the case decided it would not proceed further and recommended a DNAA," he said, adding that this matter has to be thoroughly investigated as it raised too many questions.
