KUALA LUMPUR: MCA will not hesitate to be independent should any Barisan Nasional component parties intend to form new partnerships and abandon its current coalition members, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
He noted that the party's founding principles, outlined by MCA's founder Tun Tan Cheng Lock, remained a guiding force. He said that Barisan's interests must be prioritised, and a spirit of perseverance is needed to achieve success.
