MELAKA: Melaka police have released a photo of an unidentified woman's body in a renewed appeal to the public to come forward with information on the deceased.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit the deceased, in her 20s, was found washed up on the beach of Pantai Puteri in Tanjung Kling here on Sept 24.
He said the deceased, with a height of 1.57cm, a slightly fair complexion, oval shaped face and hair up to her shoulder, was found wearing a black T-shirt with the wording"Melaka Historic City Council" and long pants when her body was discovered by beachgoers on that day. "No identification documents were found at the site where the body was found and no one has claimed the body at the Melaka Hospital mortuary," he said on Wednesday .
ACP Christopher Patit said the deceased was believed to be a local based on the BCG immunisation mark on her left arm while the body was buried upside down under the beach sand when it was discovered. No visible signs of injuries were found on the body and police have classified a police report relating to the discovery of the body as a sudden death report for now.
