Sharing Mark’s concerns, Pertubuhan Pelindung Khazanah Alam president Damien Thanam Divean urged the government to empower the wildlife and national parks department to object to any development activities in areas critical to the Malayan tiger and other protected species.
Separately, Mark said it is heartening to note that the government is aiming to empower local communities to help in conservation initiatives.
