KOTA KINABALU: A motorcyclist was killed after a tree fell on top of him along Jalan Impian Jadi in Tuaran near here on Thursday .
The victim, identified as Indonesian Syair Sukma, 45, was believed to have died on the spot following the 7.30am freak accident. Sabah Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Hamsa Isnurdini said they received a call about the incident at 7.58am. “A team from the Tuaran fire station led by officer Leo Sabidol arrived at the scene, some 11km away. They immediately chopped up the tree trunk and later removed it from the victim who was pinned underneath,” he said in a statement
