The Amanah man won the seat with a majority of 3,514 votes after defeating Dr Mazri Yahya of Perikatan Nasional and independent candidate S Jeganathan.
Nazri Abdul Rahman previously said he hoped to draw up various programmes for young people, including sports and recreational events, once he had been sworn in as the Simpang Jeram assemblyman.
PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan’s Nazri Abdul Rahman was sworn in as the Simpang Jeram assemblyman today. The Amanah man won the seat with a majority of 3,514 votes after defeating Dr Mazri Yahya of Perikatan Nasional and independent candidate S Jeganathan at last Saturday’s Simpang Jeram by-election. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Johor speaker Puad Zarkashi and was witnessed by Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi and other Johor assemblymen, reported Bernama.
Nazri previously said he hoped to draw up various programmes for young people, including sports and recreational events, once he had been sworn in as the Simpang Jeram assemblyman.
