The NTA published a statement to their website on Wednesday to dispute these claims, and to provide clarity on the proposed plans for transport improvements.

"It is important to the NTA that our proposals are clearly understood and presented accurately to the public. The public consultation phase is a vital step in the final review of the Strategy and it is incumbent on the NTA to ensure there is genuine and constructive public consultation based on the facts."
