A total of 129 people are housed in three relief centres in Taiping, Selama and Batang Padang, says state disaster management committee.
The water levels at Sungai Kinta, Sungai Bidor and Sungai Kerian were at the alert point, according to the Perak irrigation and drainage department.
State disaster management committee secretariat said in a statement that two relief centres had been opened. The first at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sungai Jernih, Selama, for 34 evacuees, and the Kampung Klah community hall, Sungkai for 38 evacuees. According to the Perak irrigation and drainage department , the levels of the Kinta River at the Tanjung Tualang Weir, the Bidor River in Changkat Jong and the Kerian River in Selama were at the alert point.
