PETALING JAYA: The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) will summon Ayer Hitam MP Wee Ka Siong next week for its fourth proceedings into the management of the Covid-19 pandemic, given that his name was mentioned in previous proceedings.
PAC chairman Mas Ermieyati Samsudin said former health ministry secretary-general Dr Chen Chaw Min will also be called for next Thursday’s proceedings.“PAC needs evidence and an explanation from Wee since his name was mentioned in prior proceedings. To be fair to him, the PAC intends to hear his explanation. “But I will not disclose the reason since the PAC proceedings are subject to Meeting Rule 85 of the Dewan Rakyat Meeting Rules,” she told a press conference at Parliament today.
