The coalition’s state chairman Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail cites the unity government’s performance in the by-elections in Johor last month as proof of its ability to win the Pelangai seat.
Pahang BN chairman Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail dismissed rumours that several of the coalition’s assemblymen would join PN if the opposition won the Pelangai seat.
“The results clearly showed that what they claimed before did not materialise,” he told reporters when asked if certain narratives that the opposition was pushing, including the possibility of a change in the state government, was a cause for concern. The coalition also retained the Pulai parliamentary seat after Suhaizan Kaiat beat Perikatan Nasional’s Zulkifli Jaafar with a 18,641-vote majority.
Meanwhile, Wan Rosdy said he was confident that an anti-hopping law would be tabled in the Pahang state assembly soon.
