MUAR: At least 2,000 to 3,000 students studying or hoping to study in private technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutes nationwide are in limbo due apparently to “technical issues” at the Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK).
KUALA LUMPUR: The proposed annual and salary increment for the police force are justified given the rising cost of living, says Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.
"Such a proposal is justifiable in view of the increasing cost of living, especially for low-ranking police personnel. He was commenting on Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain's proposal for the salary adjustment as well as 30% annual salary increase for the police force. If both proposals are considered and approved, Lee also hopes that the efficiency of the police will be enhanced.
