KUALA LUMPUR: The large police presence during the campaign period for the Pelangai by-election is to maintain an omnipresence, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
The Home Minister said the police were also focused on ensuring safety and security while maintaining public order.
Saifuddin said the police always acted professionally and the public did not have to worry about their large presence. "The most important thing is each party is not prohibited from approaching or getting close to the rakyat. The police are present to maintain safety for all," he said.
