JAKARTA (The Jakarta Post/Agencies): Forest fires in some parts of Indonesia have declined and no haze had been detected moving to Malaysia, Environment and Forestry Minister said on Friday (Oct 6), a day after its neighbour urged Jakarta to take action as air quality worsened.
BENTONG: The Election Commission has not received any complaints on election offences during the campaigning period for the Pelangai state election so far.
Last Wednesday, Tuan Ibrahim called on the EC to investigate Barisan Nasional machinery for allegedly using state government assets and machinery, in addition to giving incentives to the people throughout the Pelangai by-election campaign period. "Since the Pelangai constituency is not that big or far, I expect the results will be known by 9pm,” he said.
