Tuaran: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) is firm in its stand to reject any attempt to overthrow the Government.
Gagasan Rakyat Sulaman Division Deputy Chief Datuk Abd Kassim Razali said in line with that, he proposed that Gagasan Rakyat continue to support Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to lead the Federal Unity Government.He said this when presenting several motions at the party’s Sulaman division annual meeting recently.
“We do not want to acknowledge any form of movement that can overthrow this current government,” Kassim added.Apart from this motion, he also laid out two more points - one to support the Sabah Maju Jaya initiative and the other, calling on the Federal Government to assist and work together with Sabah to end hardcore poverty in the State.
On eradicating hardcore poverty, Kassim said the Government must be closer to the grassroots to better identify issues and find solutions. He said local approaches that work for the different districts and different communities must be applied in the effort to bridge the economic gaps of the people.
