Menteri Pelancongan, Kebudayaan dan Alam Sekitar, Datuk Christina Liew dalam satu sidang media yang diadakan di pejabatnya pada Isnin menyatakan rasa terujanya apabila bandaraya Kota Kinabalu menjadi tuan rumah acara berprestij itu.“Kembalinya Piala Triatlon Asia selepas 22 tahun ke Sabah adalah bukti rantau ini semakin terkenal dalam dunia triatlon dan pelancongan sukan.
