The national track cycling ace says he is focused on the recovery process to prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Azizulhasni Awang suffered an injury last week while training for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games from Sept 26 to 29.
“I want to apologise to our contingent and all Malaysians. The focus now is to recover as soon as possible,” he told a press conference at the National Sports Council . The 35-year-old bagged three medals at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang, where he won a gold medal in the sprint event, a silver medal in the team sprint event, and a bronze medal in the keirin event.
