Police hope to reduce or do away with counters to settle traffic summonses as the result of the success in getting errant motorists to pay online through the MyBayar Saman app.
“We have adopted the concept of cashless payment proposed by the government to enable members of the public to easily settle summonses using the online app. “Maybe in three years’ time, we may reduce the number of counters or not use them at all because the three to five officers manning these counters can be utilised for other enforcement duties,” he said at Bukit Aman here today.
