BEIJING (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): Three people died and 17 others were injured on Wednesday (Oct 18) after an elevator in a China mall plunged from the fourth floor to the first, Chinese media reported.
KUALA LUMPUR: The police have increased security in the area surrounding the United States Embassy following several demonstrations here.
"These are the offices of foreign representatives in Malaysia. It is the police's responsibility to ensure the security of these offices and we will continue to do so here and in similar places," Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said at a press conference at the police contingent headquarters here on Friday .
