JOHOR BARU: The two policemen alleged to have received cash from the public in a viral video were merely accepting water from them, says Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat.

He said the incident is believed to have happened on Sept 3 in Kulai when the two policemen patrolled the area during the Hungry Ghost Festival.

"In the video, the two policemen could be seen receiving something from the men, and people are assuming that it was money, but it was just boxed water," he said.
