KUALA LUMPUR: The proposed Parliamentary Services Act (PSA) has received positive feedback from MPs and Senators, says Tan Sri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar.
The Dewan Negara President said a briefing was held on the proposed policies and framework in the PSA 2023 Bill which is currently in the drafting stages at the Legal Affairs Division of the Prime Minister’s Department, and the Attorney General’s Chambers.
Speaking at a briefing at Parliament’s Banquet Hall on Tuesday , Wan Junaidi said the element of separation of powers is included in the proposed Bill. He said the Bill will empower Parliament as an institution that is independent of the Executive branch of the government.Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul, Deputy Senate President Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed, Deputy Speaker Datuk Ramli Mohd Nor and Parliament chief administrator Datuk Muhamad Zamani were also present.to our Premium Plan for an ad-free and unlimited reading experience!
