A RECENT Facebook post claims to show a woman being forced to take a drink before she is slapped and punched.
VERDICT:Police in Siburan, Sarawak, detected the post on Saturday by a user with the name"Mark Jackson", showing the incident in a shop in Kuching.
Later, the Padawan police contingent received a report from a 37-year-old man at 1pm on Saturday that he received a message on social media showing an Indonesian woman being assaulted.According to a statement from Deputy Supt Lim Jaw Shyong of Padawan, a CID team went to the location in Jalan MJC Batu Kawa, Kuching.The victim was sent to the hospital for treatment and the Indonesian Consulate in Kuching had also been contacted to render follow-up assistance to her, DSP Lim added.
