PETALING JAYA: MIC has called on the government to revoke the citizenship of a man who made derogatory remarks about Islam, Selangor’s Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and the police force in a video.
MIC information chief R Thinalan said N Ganesparan’s actions and speech rendered him disloyal to the country, as laid out in the Federal Constitution.“Individuals like Ganesparan pose a threat to the unity and harmony of the nation, capable of causing public unrest and inflaming religious sensitivities, leading to societal turmoil and ethnic divisions,” he said in a statement.
